چکیده
We report on our first results of a dispersion-managed monolithic polarization-maintaining ultrafast Thulium-doped fiber oscillator. The design incorporates only commercially available components and emits linearly polarized light with polarization extinction ratio over 17 dB . observed optical pulse spectra up to 10 nm width centered at 1961.5 beyond the water absorption lines support sub-1 ps duration. simple linear configuration wide spread availability used low cost makes presented oscillator valuable concept for an environmental stable seed source.

متن کاملSub-100 fs pulses from an all-polarization maintaining Yb-fiber oscillator with an anomalous dispersion higher-order-mode fiber.
We present an Yb-fiber oscillator with an all-polarization-maintaining cavity with a higher-order-mode fiber for dispersion compensation. The polarization maintaining higher order mode fiber introduces not only negative second order dispersion but also negative third order dispersion in the cavity, in contrast to dispersion compensation schemes used in previous demonstrations of all-polarizatio...

152 fs nanotube-mode-locked thulium-doped all-fiber laser
Ultrafast fiber lasers with broad bandwidth and short pulse duration have a variety of applications, such as ultrafast time-resolved spectroscopy and supercontinuum generation. We report a simple and compact all-fiber thulium-doped femtosecond laser mode-locked by carbon nanotubes. The oscillator operates in slightly normal cavity dispersion at 0.055 ps(2), and delivers 152 fs pulses with 52.8 ...
